New Life conference is a one-day Bible teaching conference organised by the Anglican Diocese of Armidale for the women of the New England and North West.

Our mission is to provide quality Bible teaching to encourage women in their relationship with Jesus and equip them to serve Him in their local communities.

Lesley Ramsay

Lesley has dedicated 47 years to local church ministry alongside her husband, Jim. Initially trained as a teacher after university, she raised four children before also embarking on a 30-year journey as a Bible teacher and evangelist across Australia and overseas. Currently, Lesley serves at Moore College in Sydney, providing pastoral care to students. In her downtime, she enjoys savoring a good coffee, delving into a captivating book, and spending cherished moments with her grandchildren.

Almost a week on and still revelling in New Life 2024.

Our conference couldn’t happen without the dedication and hard work of all our volunteers each year. This year we had 6 committee members that worked tirelessly all year, and were joined by over 50 volunteers that served in many ways. From set up to hospitality, tech and music to welcoming, and so much more, each played a viral role in making the day run smoothly.

Get ready for New Life 2024! 🗺️ Here’s what you need to know about arrival and registration.

WHEN - Doors will open at 9:00am and the conference will commence promptly at 9:30am. Allow enough time to park, pick up your registration pack and find a seat before then. The coffee cart will be available before the conference with EFTPOS available.

WHERE - Calrossy Anglican School - William Cowper Campus (Moore Creek Road, North Tamworth). Parking attendants will be present to direct parking on the day - there in ample parking available. For those who require wheelchair or low mobility access you are welcome to drop your passenger/s safely to the door of the conference and continue onto the parking area behind the hall.

WHAT TO BRING - Your bible, a pen and some extra layers as it can get quite breezy on the hill. For those with ‘self catered’ tickets - don’t forget to bring your morning tea and lunch.

Meet Susanne, one of our New Life women.

Susanne says: “I cling to hope on a daily basis, because the state of the world tempts me to worry about the future. We see so much going so wrong, so constantly. But when I lift my eyes, I see my Heavenly Father with His arms open, because He has adopted me as His own through Jesus’ death on the cross. That unfailing love gives me a strong foundation for a hopeful and secure eternal life. I’m looking forward to learning more at the conference so that I can deepen my faith and understanding, and go forward with my hope grounded in the assurance of God’s promises, rather than trying to find peace in worldly hope, which is so often uncertain. It’s definitely a much better way to look to the future.”

Meet Ruth, one of our New Life women.

Ruth says: “I have been to a number of New Life Conferences. Each year I look forward to meeting my old friends from different places. It is like a mini reunion. I also love meeting and connecting with Christian women from my town. The music and talks are wonderful and the personal stories are inspiring. This year’s theme is one that I know will encourage me in my Christian walk. We all go through some challenging times and experience suffering. So knowing God’s great love, we also know we have a future hope. I am looking forward to being part of New Life again this year.”

Jo Clark shares what she’s most looking forward to at New Life 2024. Hear her heart for Romans 8 and Christian women.
“God loves it when we mature each other – he wants every single member of his family to get involved in growing each other up! I love the moment when I’m alongside sisters in Christ, we have our heads down in the Scriptures, and then through prayer and conversation, we help each other to understand and apply God’s word to our lives.

I’m confident God is going to be at work at the New Life Conference. He’s revealed himself to us, and by his Spirit and his word, we will come to know him better! During the sessions, and as we sing, pray and talk, we will be teaching, correcting, rebuking and training each other in righteousness, won’t we? I’m looking forward to working through the text of Romans 8 and going deep in such an iconic chapter of the Bible. I’m confident God will bless us all through this special day!”

Learn more about country girl Jo Clark 🚜 Raised on a cattle property in QLD, she pursued a path from studying Speech Pathology to completing an MTS apprenticeship, compelled by the reality of heaven and hell and the world’s desperate need to hear about Jesus.

Following her studies at Moore Theological College, Jo landed at Hunter Bible Church in Newcastle where she was involved in church, growth groups, reading the Bible with women, evangelism and training MTS trainees and other leaders.

When not at church (or the dog park), Jo enjoys tending to her native garden, playing classic catches in the pool and long road trips north to Queensland - often through the New England!

New Life 2024 | Living in Hope will be held on Saturday, September 7, at Calrossy’s William Cowper Campus in Tamworth.

Join us this year as our speaker, Jo Clark, takes us on a journey of discovery through the profound depths of Romans 8. Paul’s timeless words conveying messages of grace, freedom from condemnation, life in the Spirit, hope amid the brokenness of our world, the promise of future glory in the face of suffering, and above all, a profound exploration of God’s loving sovereignty over our lives. Whether you’re facing life’s struggles or experiencing smooth sailing, Romans 8 speaks to everyone, offering comforting solace and insightful perspective.

How great was New Life?! It's been a minute - but we hope the truths unpacked in Hosea have continued to trickle down and take root in your heart over the last few weeks. The New Life team have loved hearing about the things that have resonated with the women who attended and the ways they've been encouraged and grown. Praise God - he is very good.

With just a few sleeps left to go until NEW LIFE 2023, check out some of the books available at our book stall this year! Our bookstall is supplied by @thewanderingbookseller and run with the help of the wonderful ladies from Gunnedah Anglican Church.

All books at our book stall have been read by members of the New Life Committee and come with high recommendations. You'll be able to hear about some in the book reviews during the sessions.

You can purchase books at the conference with both cash and EFTPOS.
